Adelaide Fringe Announces Lineup For The GC Week One

Opening night of the 2019 Adelaide Fringe is less than two days away, and with it, the best and the brightest Australian and international acts will descend on The GC - Grand Central for a month of comedy, music, and magic at their new home on Angas St in Dom Polski.

John Waters is bringing the internationally-acclaimed Lennon: Through A Glass Onion to Adelaide! Watch the Australian star channel the essence of John Lennon in a dramatic musical biography that has the stamp of approval from the late legend's estate. On for a limited run from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 February, this is a show you won't want to miss.

For one night only, Ross Wilson returns after a fast sell-out at The GC last year. One of the all-time greats of Australian music delivers a blistering set of hits from his spectacular career, a career that has seen Ross gain 26 ARIA top 40 hits, and seen him inducted into the Hall of Fame twice! Daddy Who? will be at The GC for one night only Friday 15 February.

Fresh from a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Joanne McNally brings her Wine Tamer stand up routine to The GC for her first appearance on the Adelaide Fringe stage. This shows takes a hilarious and whip smart look at life, love and the lies we all tell ourselves, in this funny, down-to-earth show from one of Ireland's brightest new talents. Wine Tamer will be around from Friday 15 February, with various dates until Sunday 3 March, get your tickets and learn all about the power of 'lady petrol' this Fringe season.

Beloved Australian children's icon Humphrey B. Bear has been a part of Australian childhoods since he first appeared on TV screens in the 1960s. The tall, shaggy honey-loving brown bear has been loved by generations of children, and makes his Fringe debut in 2019. Bring your children and your grandchildren to see your own childhood favourite, with strictly limited, one show run, on 16 February.

Cat, Neil and Captain Fantastic celebrates the chart-topping songs of three of music's most beloved names: Cat Stevens, Neil Young and Elton John. A show of sublime musicianship, blissful memories and high entertainment, join the trip down memory lane for a heart-warming recount of some of music biggest songs and names. With a three-night run, the first show will be Saturday 16 February, before returning for the final shows on the last weekend.

The GC is starting the 2019 Adelaide Fringe off with a bang, with some great acts in the first week. Don't miss out on these amazing performances, and check out the other brilliant performers to come in their program.
