Adelaide Festival Centre Puts On Thrilling Young Family Show WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT

WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT, the perfect theatrical outing for any young family will arrive at the Adelaide Festival Centre in ideal timing for April school holiday adventures.

Live on stage in AFCT's Dunstan Playhouse from 27th to 29th April this UK production will be presented for the first time in Adelaide, direct from a smash-hit international tour and sold out seasons in Brisbane, Melbourne and at the Sydney Opera House.

The show features music, laughter, songs, rhythms, rhymes and repetitions; and with puppetry, paints, water and mud, not to mention a bear but - we're not scared!

Sally Cookson's hugely inventive production set to Benji Bower's quirky musical score is a mischievouscelebration of play, utilising everyday objects and materials, to capture the imagination and catapult young audiences into the world of Michael Rosen and illustrator HELEN OXENBURY's much loved picture book.

Join the show's intrepid family of adventurers and their musical dog through the swishy swashy grass, the splishy splashy river and the squelchy mud, in search of a bear. Expect plenty of fun-filled interaction and a few surprises along the way.

Director Sally Cookson is one of the most prolific creators of live family theatre. In 2013 projects include: Julia Donaldson's Tiddler, dance premier Varmints at Sadlers' Wells & The Boy Who Cried Wolf at Bristol Old Vic.
