Magic, storytelling and whimsy combine in Room On The Broom, CDP and Tall Stories' adaptation of the internationally bestselling picture book from Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and presented by the Adelaide Festival Centre at the Dunstan Playhouse from today, 16 - 20 July

This enchanting and warm-hearted story for children is about a witch and her cat, who are flying happily on their broomstick, until a stormy wind blows away the witch's hat, bow and wand. A helpful dog, bird and frog find the witch's lost things, and they all hop on the broom for a ride. But the broomstick isn't meant for five and - CRACK! - the broom snaps in two! When a hungry dragon appears, who will save the poor witch? And will there be room on the broom for everyone?

Well-known for their adaptations of The Gruffalo and The Gruffalo's Child, CDP and Tall Stories are an award winning theatre production house that specialises in boutique theatre of the highest quality. Renowned for their touring expertise, their productions have toured to theatres throughout Australia, to Capital Cities as well as to metropolitan, regional and remote communities. They have also toured internationally to the Edinburgh Festival, London InterNational Theatre Festival, and to New Zealand.
