Kick back to some of the best music from France in the latest So Frenchy So Chic live event Nouvelle Vague at Her Majesty's Theatre for one show only on 18 January.
When it comes to French contemporary music, Nouvelle Vague is considerEd Royalty not to mention one of Australia's favourite French acts.
Making their long-awaited return to Australia, Nouvelle Vague will take audiences on a summer escape, performing songs from their new album, 'I Could Be Happy', as well as plenty of crowd favourites Love Will Tear Us Apart (Joy Division), Guns of Brixton (The Clash) and The Killing Moon (Echo & The Bunnymen).
Nouvelle Vague is well known for chilled-out covers of new wave classics as well as its rotating frontwomen, which have in the past included well known performers Camille, Melanie Pain and Vanessa Paradis. Together with their Hot Parisian punk-pop outfit, they are ready to storm the Bastille with their special blend of French Noir cool.
Marc Collin and Olivier Libaux, the founders of the band, are notable for their rearrangement of punk and new wave songs into bossa nova styled music. The uniqueness and creativity of the recreated songs have brought a new experience and a gratifying interpretation of melodies to all music lovers. It has also contributed to the critical success of the band with more than 1 million records sold worldwide.
