Adelaide's own Demi Lardner is set to perform her first shows back in her home town after winning the world's most prestigious stand up comedy competition, So You Think You're Funny, at the Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Demi makes her return run before jetting off to the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, and will be joined for the week by upcoming Sydney comedian Luke Heggie, who's fast making a name for himself with wit so dry it could make a caMel Crave Gatorade.

"So You Think You're Funny is the most prestigious stand up comedy competition in the world and Demi's done us all proud so we want to welcome her back in true Adelaide champion style," Adelaide Comedy promoter Craig Egan said.

"We're proud to give local audiences their chance to see Demi on her victory lap, before the rest of the world gets wind of this this pint-seized comedy powerhouse."

Fans can join Demi at her official welcome home show on Sunday 8 September at the Arkaba Hotel from 4pm, or catch Demi and Luke Heggie all week at one of Adelaide Comedy's gigs.
