Theatrical legend Alan Jay Lerner died 25 years ago on June 14th. He was the lyricist of many famous musicals including BRIGADOON, PAINT YOUR WAGON, CAMELOT, GIGI, ON A CLEAR DAY YOU CAN SEE FOREVER and, most famously, MY FAIR LADY.

The event will be produced by Lerner's wife Liz Robertson, and will include direction by Hugh Woolridge and musical direction by David Firman and Jason Carr. Expected to attend the festivities are: Andrew Lloyd Webber, Trevor Nunn, Tony Britton, Anthony Andrews, Don Black, Gerard Kenny and Sally-Ann Howes.

Liz Robertson, who is currently starring as Madame Giry in LOVE NEVER DIES, said:

"I am thrilled that a plaque dedicated to him will be unveiled in St Paul's Church Covent Garden on the anniversary of his death. It seems so appropriate that St Paul's Church is its location, as the opening of My Fair Lady sees Eliza selling her flowers in the portico of said church. "

There will be drinks and canapés after the ceremony in the Grand Saloon at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, where the London productions of My Fair Lady and Camelot first opened.
