With hundreds of cabaret shows to choose from at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, BroadwayWorld reviewer Natalie O'Donoghue has narrowed down her top picks from the cabaret section of the programme.
Last year's five-star reviewed Adele Is Younger Than Us is back for 2017. Stiff and Kitsch will take you on a journey through the trials and tribulations of love, with all the heartbreak but none of the Grammys. The duo also have a second show at the festival, By All Accounts Two Normal Girls, which promises more comedy cabaret.
Ben Hart: Belief
West End star and Edinburgh Cabaret Award nominee Ben is a unique artist, teller of tall tales, mad inventor and sleight of hand master. His performances are a dark, beautiful, baffling and wickedly funny treasure trove of impossible mysteries, visual alchemy, outrageous lies and brutal honesty.
Another 2016 encore, Snap was undoubtedly my favourite magic show last year. Snap is a multi-faceted art performance based on magic with ingenious stage language, mime, comedy and more, suitable for the whole family.
Hot Brown Honey turns up the heat with lashings of sass and a hot pinch of empowerment in the smash-hit, genre-defying, award-winning firecracker of a show that's taken the world by storm. Winners of the 2016 Total Theatre Award for Innovation, The Honeys are back to spin tradition on its head, challenge boundaries and ignite the change we want to be.
