Theater J is pleased to announce the hire of its new Associate Producer, Jonathan David Martin. He will work closely with Theater J Artistic Director Adam Immerwahr and Managing Director Rebecca Ende in all aspects of the theater's theatrical programming and education initiatives. Jonathan is a producer, actor and director with over 10 years of experience in theaters across the country. He most recently served as the Producing Co-Artistic Director with the award-winning Smoke & Mirrors Collaborative (SMC) theater company in New York City. Founded by Jonathan in 2011, SMC has won the Best Overall Play in the New York International Fringe Festival, performed Off-Broadway at Lincoln Center, 59E59 Theaters, Theater for the New City, Dixon Place and toured internationally in South Africa, Berlin and Edinburgh. Jonathan also served as founding Producing Co-Artistic Director of Washington Ensemble Theatre of Seattle and as an Associate Producer with Not Man Apart Physical Theatre Ensemble, in Los Angeles. As a performer, Jonathan originated the title role in War Horse on Broadway at Lincoln Center Theater and has performed in regional theaters across the United States. Jonathan is a recipient of The Leonore Annenberg Foundation Fellowship for the Arts for his work as a theater-maker. He received his MFA in Acting from New York University.

As Associate Producer at Theater J, Jonathan will line produce all Theater J productions, readings and workshops, assist in casting and artist relations, collaborate on play and new play development, design and supervise educational programming and more. He succeeds Delia Taylor who was in the role for over 10 years.
