Ford's Theatre Society, the Newseum and Willard InterContinental Hotel today announced Lincoln X3, a Lincoln-themed weekend contest package for two in Washington, D.C.
The Lincoln X3 package includes two tickets to the world premiere play The Widow Lincoln at Ford's Theatre on Saturday, February 21; two general admission tickets to the Newseum, including entry into the special exhibition President Lincoln Is Dead: The New York Herald Reports the Assassination, which documents the historic news coverage of that tragic event; and a two-night stay (February 21 and 22) in an elegant Willard Room at the historic Willard, where Lincoln stayed prior to his inauguration.
Interested parties should visit www.fords.org/lincolnx3 to enter and for full contest rules. Entries must be received by January 18, 2015. Winners will be notified via email on January 20, 2015.
April 2015 marks 150 years since the assassination of President Lincoln and the end of the American Civil War. Lincoln X3 provides contest winners with an opportunity to take part in some of the events in Washington, D.C. to commemorate this historic occasion and to celebrate Lincoln's legacy.
