Touring Co Of RENT Offers $20 Lottery Tix To Show 3/25-29

By:

The Rent touring company and Hennepin Theatre Trust are pleased to announce that a limited number of $20 seats in the front two rows of the main floor/orchestra will be made available through a lottery drawing for every performance of Rent. The Pulitzer Prize and Tony(r) Award-winning musical starring Adam Pascal and Anthony Rapp returns to the Twin Cities to play the Orpheum Theatre in Minneapolis from Wednesday-Sunday, March 25-29, 2009. The $20 tickets will be available at the Orpheum Theatre Box Office (910 Hennepin Avenue, Mpls., 55403), on the day of performance only. The offer is a tradition with the show and honors the vision of the late creator Jonathan Larson, a struggling artist who wanted to craft a universal piece of musical theatre available to everyone.

Each day of the run, two hours prior to show time, patrons who come to the Orpheum Theatre Box Office may enter their name, and thirty minutes later a drawing will be held for a limited number of seats to the next performance. Tickets will be $20 each, cash only. No purchase is necessary to participate. Tickets are available in-person only with a limit of two tickets per purchaser. Winners (with valid photo i.d.) must be present when names are called or they will forfeit their tickets.

Rent is presented by Hennepin Theatre Trust as a special addition to its 2008/09 M&I Bank Broadway Across America-Minneapolis season. For general ticket information visit HennepinTheatreTrust.org or call 1-800-982-2787. Groups of 15 or more are eligible for discounts and should call 612-373-5665 for information and reservations. Show times are: Wednesday, March 25 at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, March 26 at 2 and 7:30 p.m., Friday, March 27 at 8 p.m. , Saturday, March 28 at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, March 29 at 1 and 6:30 p.m.
