Want some good news? CHICAGO has got it!! Huey Lewis has been signed to make his Broadway debut as slick attorney Billy Flynn in the smash musical hit playing at the Ambassador Theatre, 219 West 49th Street. Mr. Lewis will begin performances on Tuesday, November 1st.

Huey Lewis, founding member and lead vocalist of Huey Lewis and The News, needs little introduction. With album sales over 20 million, Grammy award winners Huey Lewis and The News have released ten albums and have written and performed such classic top ten hits as "The Power of Love","The Heart of Rock and Roll", "Stuck With You", "I Want a New Drug", "Workin' For a Livin" and "If This Is It". For over 25 years, Huey Lewis and The News have carried the banner as the quintessential American rock band. . Huey co-wrote and performed "The Power of Love" and "Back In Time" for the hit film Back To The Future (1985), in which he had a cameo role. "The Power of Love" not only reached #1 on Billboard's singles chart but, was also nominated for an Academy Award. He was a member of the ensemble cast of the movie Shortcuts (1993) for which he received a Golden Globe. His movie performances have included parts in Sphere (1998), Shadow of Doubt (1998), and Duets (2000). The successful soundtrack from Duets featured a musical duet with his co-star Gweneth Paltrow. "Cruisin" reached #1 on Billboard's adult contemporary chart. Huey has also appeared in the TV series Just Shoot Me and One Tree Hill.

November marks another milestone for the musical CHICAGO as it enters its 10th year on Broadway with the distinction of Broadway's longest-running revival. The winner of 6 1997 Tony Awards including Best Revival of a Musical as well as Best Director (Walter Bobbie) and Best Choreographer (Ann Reinking) currently stars Charlotte D'Amboise as Roxie Hart, Luba Mason as Velma Kelly, Christopher McDonald as Billy Flynn, and Carol Woods as Matron Mama Morton.
