Longtime pals Bernadette Peters and Mary Tyler Moore will hold Broadway Barks 7 in Shubert Alley on July 30th.

The annual program, which seeks to place pets from New York City animal shelters in good homes, will commence at 3:30 PM and will most likely last for three hours. Last year's Broadway Barks attracted a slew of animal-friendly Broadway stars, among them Gary Beach, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Stephanie J. Block, Christy Carlson Romano, Mario Cantone, Patrick Cassidy, Michael Cerveris, Kristin Chenoweth, Deborah A. Cox, Veanne Cox, Paige Davis, Micky Dolenz, Beth Fowler, Jordan Gelber, Neil Patrick Harris, Shirley Jones, Sandra Joseph, Isabel Keating, Eartha Kitt, Swoosie Kurtz, Laura Linney, Audra McDonald, Idina Menzel, Michael Mulheren, Donna Murphy, Kathy Najimy, Denis O'Hare, Brad Oscar, Patrick Page, Hugh Panaro, Tonya Pinkins, Angie Schworer, Christopher Sieber, Eric Stoltz, John Tartaglia and Rachel York.

Peters, who found her dogs Kramer and Stella at animal shelters and co-founded Broadway Barks with Moore, was optimistic about the success of this year's Barks. "Over 300 animals have been adopted through the Broadway Barks events, and we're hoping that through this new partnership with the Mayor's Alliance, we will be able to double that number." The Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, Inc. deals with issues of animal care and control, and brings together numerous not-for-profit animal care groups.

Broadway Barks 7 will be produced by Richard Hester, Maureen Moore, Patty Saccente and Scott T. Stevens.

Shubert Alley is located between 44th and 45th Streets, between Broadway and Eighth Avenue.
