'Songs For a New World' Featuring 90-Piece Orchestra Set For Symphony Space May 1

A special evening of Jason Robert Brown's 'Songs For a New World' is set to play the Symphony Space on May 1st at 4pm.

The performance, which features a 90-piece orchestra and some of Broadway's hottest stars performing the songs of Jason Robert Brown is a benefit for, and performed by, the Bergen Youth Orchestras' Symphony. Tickets are now on sale by visiting Symphony Space's website.

Tickets are
$55; Members of Symphony Space $50; Students/Seniors/Children $35. $10 Rush Tickets will be available at the door at 2pm, subject to availability (2 per person and cash only)

About the show:
Songs For A New World
, with music and lyrics by Jason Robert Brown, ran for 28 performances at the WPA Theater in New York City in 1995. Original cast members included Brooks Ashmanskas, Andrea Burns, Jessican Molaskey, and Billy Porter. Brown's first produced show includes the songs "The New World", "I'm Not Afraid of Anything", "Stars and the Moon", "She Cries", "Surabaya Santa", "Christmas Lullaby", "King of the World", "I'd Give It All for You", "The Flagmaker, 1775", and "Hear My Song" among others.
