New York Theatre Barn Presents Highlight Show 3/31
On Monday, March 31, New York Theatre Barn will be presenting its next installment of its monthly show highlighting new composers, writers and artists, NYTB at the Duplex.
The first set of the evening will showcase the music of Jack Aaronson in a new show entitled No More Fire, which will feature music from Mr. Aaronson's previous musicals The Journey of Edgar Allen Poe, Nice Girls Don't Explode, and Crossing Over. The cast for No More Fire will include Mary Stout (Beauty and the Beast, Jane Eyre, My Favorite Year), Mick Bleyer, Adina Verson, Kevin Wanzor, Susanne Kobb, Amanda Adair Brown, Michael Zahler and Alanna Wilson.
The second set of the evening will feature Meredith Anderson performing the music of Jeff Thomson and Jordon Mann. Thomson and Mann are 2008 Jonathan Larson Award winners and were 2006/2007 Musical Theater Writing Fellows with the Dramatist Guild. They are currently working on the musical version of the film Pump Up the Volume (1990, Christian Slater) which features the song "When The Words Won't Come," which will be performed by Bryce Ryness (Legally Blonde).The Duplex Cabaret Theater is located at 61 Christopher Street at Seventh Avenue.
