Cockpit in Court Summer Theatre's Court Jesters Young People's Theatre offers the gleeful answer with story, music and dance in its production of Disney's Camp Rock. Directed by Liz Boyer-Hunnicutt, this homage to the summer camp experience will strike a chord in nearly everyone's memory. The Cockpit production runs from July 8 through July 17 in the J Building Lecture Hall at CCBC Essex, 7201 Rossville Boulevard. All seats are $8 each and tickets are available through the CCBC Box Office at 443-840-ARTS (2787). All weekday matinees for this production are sold out, so get your tickets asap!

Camp Rock campers return to camp only to find that the nearby glitzy Camp Star is threatening Camp Rock's very existence. The plot revolves around Mitchie (played by Allison Commoto of Towson) and her efforts to keep the doors open and still maintain a secret about herself. Zach Miller of Baltimore has the male lead as a talented singer in the Gray Brother trio who hears a wonderful "voice" and spends his time trying to find its owner.

The teen musical is filled with teen angst - rich girl/poor girl, boy meets girl, pretending to be someone you are not, to name only a few. But gleeful music abounds and Camp Rock is saved to give another group of aspiring musicians a summer to remember.

Featured players include: Zoe Feldman of Baltimore as Ella Pador; Sheridan Merrick of Baltimore as Dana Turner; Rachel Miller of Baltimore as Rosie Day; Zach Miller of Baltimore as Shane Gray; Tyrell Stanley of Baltimore as Barron James; Brady Widener of Cockeysville as Axel Turner; Josh Schoff of Dundalk as Jason Gray; Mimi Rinaldi of Ellicott City as Caitlyn Geller; Gino Cardoni of Essex as Nate Gray; Matthew Demetrides of Lauraville as Luke Williams; Nicole Smith of Lutherville as Tess Tyler; Alex Lucas of Lutherville as Andy Hosten; Autumn Simpson of Millersville as Peggy Dupree; Emil Sueck of Monkton as Sander Loya; Collette Simkins of Overlea as Brown Cesario; Juliana Adetola of Owings Mills as Georgina and Allison Commoto of Towson as Mitchie Torres.

Cast members in the ensemble are: Tiffany Flaharty of Abingdon, Hallie Parrott of Annapolis, Everett Simkins, Jared Davis, Marion Comi-Morog of Baltimore, Justine Cerruto of Churchville, James Ruth and Taylor Smith-Clarke of Dundalk, Tamara Whaley of Edgewood, Thomas Gardner of Joppa, Kevin Cossaboon and Abby Cossaboon of Kingsville, Maddie Howard of Millersville, Mattie Bayne, Autumn Cole, Allison Mudd, Allison Naglieri and Cyerah Zoeller of Parkville, Olivia Aubele and Valerie Stein of Perry Hall, Emma Hoey of Phoenix, Carianne Cicero and Nina Cicero of Street, Wesley Brown and James Claxton of White Marsh.
