Streisand, Due to Bad Weather, Cancels Vienna Concert

Barbra Streisand's show at the Schloss Schönbrunn in Vienna has been cancelled due to hazardous weather conditions.

The show will be rescheduled for tomorrow, June 22nd.  Tickets marked for the June 21st performance are still valid.

The storm contributed to nearly 10,000 chairs blowing over, power problems and posed a major safety hazard to patrons. Schloss Schönbrunn authorities have deemed the weather conditions unsafe and have called for the immediate cancellation of the 21 June show.

In other news, Streisand recently shattered the concert house record at Zurich's Hallenstadion as she kicked off her European Tour, her first ever tour of the continent.

Barbra Streisand, who first shot to fame in the Broadway and film versions of Funny Girl, is the US music industry's #1 best-selling female recording artist. She is second in the all-time charts, ahead of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, exceeded only by Elvis.  Streisand remains the only artist to receive an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe, Cable Ace, and Peabody Awards, and the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award.

July 14 - Dublin, Castletown House
