Betty Buckley has brought her newest show, "Singin' For My Supper" to Feinstein's at the Regency now through April 7th. Seth Rudetsky sat down with Betty for an intimate chat about her latest show, the musical "Carrie," her training and more! Buckley won a Tony Award for her performance as "Grizabella" in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cats, a Tony Award nomination for her performance as "Hesione" in Triumph of Love, and an Olivier nomination for her interpretation of "Norma Desmond" in Sunset Boulevard. Buckley added to her critically acclaimed work the role of "Mama Rose" in the great American musical Gypsy for the renowned Papermill Playhouse. Her other Broadway credits include Lloyd Webber's Song and Dance and the role of "Margaret White" in the cult musical Carrie, for which she was nominated as Best Actress in a Musical by the Outer Critics Circle. She made her Broadway debut creating the role of "Martha Jefferson" in the musical 1776, then performed the roles of "Catherine" in Bob Fosse's Pippin and "Edwin Drood" in the New York Shakespeare Festival's The Mystery of Edwin Drood. In London she starred as "Fran Kubelik" in Promises, Promises, for which she received a nomination from The Evening Standard for Best Actress in a Musical. Buckley's CD "Stars and the Moon: Live at the Donmar," released by Concord Records, received a Grammy Award nomination.Videos
