Hudson, Murphy, Mirren, Etc. Win SAG Awards

Dreamgirls stars Jennifer Hudson and Eddie Murphy, as well as The Queen's Helen Mirren, are among the winners of the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, which took place at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center on January 28th.

Murphy won a SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role for his turn as James "Thunder" Early in Dreamgirls, while Hudson won Female Actor in a Supporting Role for her work as Effie Melody White in the same film.

Jeremy Irons was awarded a SAG as Male Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for his performance in "Elizabeth I." Mirren won Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries for her turn in the title role of "Elizabeth I," as well as Female Actor in a Leading Role Award playing Elizabeth II in The Queen.

Other winners included Alec Baldwin, who won an award as Male Actor in a Comedy Series for "30 Rock."

In addition, Anne Hathaway and Dick Van Dyke presented the legendary Julie Andrews with the SAG's Annual Life Achievement Award.
