On Friday 9th July, for one night only, the Royal Albert Hall is inviting everyone to put on their dancing shoes and join them for the swing party of the summer! 'In Full Swing' will transform the Hall's arena floor into London's greatest dance floor to create the largest swing and jive night that the capital has seen in years. The Hall will recreate a traditional dance hall where people can jive the night away to a selection of live bands and DJs whilst accompanied by some of the best professional dancers in the business. A 5,000 square foot parquet oak dance floor will be installed over the ornate exhibition floor to provide ample of room to move to the best swing, jive, jitterbug and lindy hop tunes. Featuring the filthy purveyors of swing Top Shelf Jazz, the big band sounds of The Back to Basie Orchestra and the UK's No.1 Jive band The Jive Aces, this promises to be a night of high energy and vintage glamour.

The Jive Aces are the UK's top Jive and Swing six piece band and will perform their special blend of Jump Jive music where swing meets rock and roll. Having been described as a band to ‘swing your socks off', The Jive Aces are one of the hardest working bands working today, performing over 300 shows a year in 35 different countries. They have appeared in various TV and radio shows and have a regular a slot on BBC Radio London every Wednesday night at 10pm. Known for their high energy, bright stage suits, wild stage antics, irresistible humour and sheer professionalism, the Jive Aces will quickly get any audience on their feet Back to Basie Orchestra, are Great Britain's Count Basie tribute orchestra and have been voted the UK's number 1 big band in 2005, 2006, 2008 & 2009.

Launched in 2001, Back to Basie have been presenting Count Basie tribute concerts throughout Britain and Europe to universal acclaim. The Orchestra presents it usual show on the concert circuit with their fantastic award winning singer, Jacqui Hicks and capture the sound and spirit of the legendary ‘Swingin' Machine'.

Top Shelf Jazz are the swing four piece band that play prohibition jazz as it should and evoke the roaring twenties and glamorous thirties with their inimitable style. This jazz and swing act is a heady mix of crooning melodies, filthy swing and rakish banter served up with a pinch of wild abandon to get the night off to a flying start!
