I currently follow almost 1,000 people on twitter -- all of them, in some way or another, involved in the world of theatre. I like to get my information from as many sources as possible; but of course, there are those that I look forward to more than the others.

This week, I'm bringing you my top 10% -- in other words, the 100 Theatre Tweeters you MUST follow.

Let me preface the list by telling you what it's NOT:
- It's not a list of the most famous Broadway folks on twitter.
- It's not a list of the most frequent tweeters on Broadway.
- It's certainly not a complete list of those worth following.

It is simply, and completely objectively, MY top 100 Theatre Tweeters.

AllisonCase Allison Case (HAIR)	If there is more love exuded on twitter, I don't know where. Pure joy, this girl is.
AndrewKober Andrew Kober (HAIR)	Photos, vlogs, inspiring stories, hilarious insights and lots of love for his fans & fellow actors. One of my all-time favorite twitters -- not to mention muy first twitter crush!!

AudraEqualityMc Audra McDonald	I aways knew Audra's work, but through her twitter I feel like I've gotten to know her as a person, too. Love that she lets us into her life.
BCEFA Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS	Not only an incredible fundraising organization, they also put on some of the best events of the year (Broadway Flea Market, Broadway Bares, etc)
BenVereen Ben Vereen	A great mix of gig updates, interaction with fans, and -- my favorite -- memories of his legendary friends.
BettyBuckley Betty Buckley	Twitter has made me love Betty more than I thought possible. Her tweets reflect gratitude, glee and generosity toward her fans.
blumietunes Jeff Blumenkrantz	I watch this twitterspace with bated breath, hoping for news of the "Karen" musical (he's writing it with Megan Mullally!).
bobbycronin Bobby Cronin	If you like new musical theatre, follow Bobby for exculsive new tunes as well as vids of your favorite stars singing his stuff.
briandarcyjames Brian Darcy James	With details like his aversion to raw ginger, BDJ's twitter is full of personal info, dry humor and wit.

ChicagoMusical Chicago	Contests, twitpics, celebrations and fan responses. Pretty great for a 14-year-old show! Then again, teenagers love twitter. ;-)
ComposerStephen Stephen Schwartz	Along with the updates and Wicked plugs, he gives much support to the Trevor Project and LGBT issues. Hurray :-)
cosmopaulitan Paul Gosselin	Clearly a devoted fan of Broadway and the arts, his observations are funniest, I have to admit, when he is tweeting after a couple of drinks or three.
Cristalzheat Alysha Umphress (American Idiot)	Some tweets make me feel like I'm listening into super-fun conversations. Alysha's are almost all like that.
DavidCote David Cote	If you like his reviews in Time Out, or his segments on NY1, you'll enjoy his tweeting too.
DavidHenryHwang David Henry Hwang	Genuine conversation with those who support him -- and reciprocal support for other artists.

joespubnyc Joe's Pub	If you like seeing Broadway stars in solo rock/folk/cabaret shows, Joe's Pub is the place. If you want to know about everything fast, their twitter is where you'll find the info.
Jordan_Roth Jordan Roth	President of Jujamcyn Theaters, he uses twitter to let fans contribute questions for his famous Broadway Talks at the 92Y.
JoshLamon Josh Lamon (HAIR)	So sweet. So funny! Need I say more? Love Josh, love his twitter.
joxfeld Jesse Oxfeld	Theatre reviewer for the NY Observer. His tweets are pithy (example: "Women on the Verge - In which Patti finally gets to play Norma Desmond on Broadway") which I love.
julie_james Julie James	She runs Sirius XM's "On Broadway" channel -- and produces free live shows in Times Square! Follow her tweets to see who's appearing next at "Live on Broadway"
kaitandbrian Kerrigan-Lowdermilk	Cheeky comments from a fantastic musical-writing team
kchenoweth Kristin Chenoweth	She famously tweeted while high on cold medicine. Even sober, her tweets are hysterical, clever and raw.
KeenanBlogger Andrew Keenan-Bolger (Mary Poppins Tour)	The twitter is like a mini-version of his blog, www.thisisandrewsblog.com. Both are hilarious. Must-follow!
KenDavenport Ken Davenport	The producer also runs BroadwaySpace.com. A frequent blogger and social media enthusiast, he tweets often and with high quaility.
KevinDDaly Kevin Daly, www.theatreafficionado.com	Membership director of the Independent Theatre Bloggers Association!
lane1008 Lane Beauchamp	A heavily involved theatre fan, he is on the scene in NYC and tweets from several theatrical events per week!
laurabellbundy Laura Bell Bundy (Legally Blonde, Hairspray)	Two words: "Cooter County." Four more: "Tweets from the Toilet." One of the funniest twitter feeds in all of Broadway world!

LeviKreis Levi Kreis (Million Dollar Quartet)	The TONY winner's tweets are full of gratitude and MDQ info. I like to pretend we know each other (creepy?).
LombardiPlay Lombardi	Football fans who also love Broadway -- follow for crossover news. Pretty cool!
MarcShaiman Marc Shaiman	His only tweet asks, "Why must I twitter?" I use this space to say, "Twitter to love back all those that love you so." Please?
maxizpad Max von Essen (Xanadu tour, Les Miz)	One of my favorite actors! His tweets are not super theatre-y, just hugely funny and cute.
MichaelFeinstei Michael Feinstein	The Great American Songbook's biggest advocate tweets for its preservation -- as well as info on who's coming to his legendary venue
MrJasonRBrown Jason Robert Brown	His twitter feed introduced me to the word "delightmare". For this, the composer/lyricist's feed must be celebrated.
MsLeaSalonga Lea Salonga	With over 190,000 followers, she still answers almost every fan that tweets at her! I also enjoy the fact that she tweets bilingually, staying true to the Filipino roots that are so important to her.
n2nbroadway Next to Normal	Gotta give props to the Theatre Tweeter who changed it all, by tweeting the entire show from the POV of the characters. A million followers and counting!
NatalieKHill Natalie Hill (Bye Bye Birdie)	Kind, funny, gorgeous, talentedÉ needless to say I'm a huge fan. Her tweets make me feel like we're old friends.
NewYorkTheater Jonathan Mandell, http://thefastertimes.com/newyorktheater/	Blog features a weekly roundup of theatre tweets. Twitter features an ongoing conversation with other theatre lovers.
ninarosario In the Heights	It is moving to read a long series of retweets on what ITH means to its fans. A twitter feed that truly engages the audience.
nytimestheater NY Times Theater Section	Official twitter of the NY Times Theatre section. Headlines are tweeted as soon as they're published, so you'll get big scoop fast.
officialALW Andrew Lloyd Webber	If you don't mind third-person tweets, there's lots of good information here on ALW productions world-wide.
PatrickHealyNYT Patrick Healy	One of the most influential guys in NY Theatre. It's interesting to read his views as they happen -- no waiting for the morning paper!
playbill Playbill	Don't get enough from the in-theatre mag? Their twitter feed gives great stories, photos, etc.
PriscillaUS Priscilla, Queen of the Desert	The show is already running in Toronto, and the twitter is engaging fans across North America!
ReeveCarney Reeve Carney (Spiderman: Turn off the Dark)	Broadway's Peter Parker. Using this space to beg him to start tweeting about "Spiderman"!
ripleytheband Alice Ripley	She just started tweeting again after a year; I'm using this space to say "Alice, welcome back!"
RnH_Org The Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization	Tweets bring photos and info about productions of Sound of Music, Connecticut Yankee, and other R&H classics at all levels from all over the world.
RTC_NYC Roundabout Theatre Company	Not just news about RTC, but also contests, sightings, and staff spotlights. Love the "inside info"
SethRudetsky Seth Rudetsky	The King of Broadway. Doesn't tweet often enough, but when he does, his signature brand of humor shines through!
ShentonStage Mark Shenton	A London-based legit theatre critic, he sees a lot on Broadway, too. Bonus: his tweets often come late at night (on UK time), when NY tweets are slow.

TheWing The American Theatre Wing	From educational programs, to podcasts ("Downstage Center"), to TV programs ("Working in the Theatre") to The Tony Awards, they tweet all the goodness The Wing provides.
