Seth Rudetsky, the host of Sirius/ XM Radio's hit show, ON BROADWAY, makes his Toronto performance debut on September 28, 2010 with a one night only presentation of his a-mah-zing interactive show, Deconstructing Broadway.

Fans of Sirius/XM know and love him for his outrageous insights and weekly live interviews with Broadway's biggest stars, composers and lyricists. One of the Great White Way's most sought after musical directors and accompanists, Rudetsky has spent years conducting and training Broadway musical theatre performers. He was the musical director of the television search for the next Elle Woods in Legally Blonde the Musical, and directed revivals and concert performances of DreamGirls, Hair, and Chess for the Actor's Fund of America, to name a few.

Seth's interactive one man tour de force, Deconstructing Broadway, goes up for one night only at the Isabel Bader Theatre, on September 28, 2010. The show is a live and interactive journey through "the good, bad, and the headache-y" of Broadway's best. Seth deconstructs with wit and wildly funny wisdom the Broadway performances that have shaped modern musical theatre as we know it. It's the ultimate lecture in musical theatre, punctuated with Seth's private video/audio collection that captures the likes of Patti LuPone and Madonna. Spend an evening with Seth and Broadway will never sound the same again! Seth will teach you to deconstruct what and why something is vocally amazing (Patti LuPone in Evita) and what and why something is sometimes a vocal travesty (Madonna singing the same material).
Deconstrucing Broadway has toured all over the United States, and continues to be sold out in every Manhattan venue it is performed.

As a comic, Rudetsky won the title "Funniest Gay Male in NY" at Stand-Up NY, had a long-running show at Caroline's Comedy Club, and spent two years as a comedy writer on THE Rosie O'Donnell SHOW (three Emmy nominations). He will be featured on two episodes of the Kathy Griffin show this season.

Earlier in the day, on September 28, 2010, Toronto's Broadway hopefuls will participate in Seth's audition master class, hosted at the Randolph Academy of the Performing Arts. Applications for a spot can be submitted, with headshots and resume to ArsArtisProductions@gmail.com. A limited number of tickets are also available to audit the masterclass.

If there's one thing Rudetsky knows, its musical theatre. You won't want to miss this one night only event full of the good, the bad, and the laughable. Did we mention that you'll see Seth's private video footage of Cher performing every role in West Side Story? Seriously!!
