Virginia Rep Announces the opening of the Broadway hit, Spring Awakening, at the Sara Belle and Neil November Theatre, 114 West Broad Street, on June 15 and running through July 22. Winner of eight 2007 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Spring Awakening examines the unbridled energy that ignites the journey from youth to adulthood. Michael Doherty Performs in Media's SPRING AWAKENING in Philly, 4/18-5/20

Barrymore-winning actor Michael Doherty will be performing as Georg in The Media Theatre's Philadelphia premiere of Spring Awakening. The Tony winning musical has a radio-friendly score by Duncan Sheik and is based on Frank Wedekind's 1891 piece focusing on the German students coming of age in a repressed society. (more...)

BREAKING: Lea Michele in Talks for SPRING AWAKENING Film!

E! Online has just revealed that Spring Awakening's original Wendla, GLEE star Lea Michele, is being courted for her old role in the upcoming film version of the show. E! reports that the film's director, McG, told them that they're hoping the film's schedule can coincide with her GLEE committments to make this happen. (more...)
