STAGE TUBE: SPIDER-MAN Cast Says Farewell to Peter Parker

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in its 2nd smash year on Broadway, and has been seen by more than 1 million audience members from around the world. It features music and lyrics by 22-time Grammy Award-winners Bono and The Edge, direction by Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz), and a book co-written by Julie Taymor, Glen Berger(Underneath The Lintel) and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (Fantastic Four and Spider-Man comics, 'Big Love'). This morning, December 15tg, the Police Athletic League (PAL), the city's largest, independent, nonprofit youth organization, and CitySights NY, the leader in New York City tours, sightseeing, and attractions, hosted hundreds of boys and girls from all five boroughs of New York at their annual Holiday Party and Toy Drive. Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark has announced the Foxwoods Theatre as a New York Cares Coat Drive public collection site. From November 15 - December 31, 2012 patrons can drop off coats outside the box office at 213 West 42nd Street between 10:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and during show hours on performance days. (more...)

DEGRASSI's Jake Epstein Joins SPIDER-MAN, TURN OFF THE DARK as 'Peter Parker' Alternate

Jake Epstein, best known as the star of the hugely popular teen series "Degrassi: The Next Generation," will make his Broadway debut as the Peter Parker / Spider-Man Alternate in Broadway's SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark. Epstein will play Saturday and Sunday matinee performances beginning on December 8, 2012 at the Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street). (more...)

Photo Coverage: SPIDER-MAN Cast Prepares for Halloween!

SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, the record-breaking Broadway spectacular, held a Halloween safety press conference earlier today at the Foxwoods Theatre. Hosted by Spider-Man (Reeve Carney) and the Green Goblin (Robert Cuccioli), also in attendance were members of the "Sinister Six" and two members of New York's Finest. Spider-Man outlined the NYPD's official Halloween Safety Recommendations to remind parents and guardians of trick-or-treaters ways to help ensure a safe Halloween experience. CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's SPIDER-MAN was already hard a work this week recording their track for the album.
