The five-time Tony Award-nominated musical Rock of Ages - which in its record-breaking fourth year on Broadway has celebrated its one-millionth customer, its 1500th performance and seven Box Office Records - takes their place on the Top 50 Longest Running Broadway Shows in History this week- with 1,544 performances surpassing the original production of Jekyll & Hyde. Matthew Stocke Returns to ROCK OF AGES as 'Hertz'

Matthew Stocke returns to the cast of the five-time Tony nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES tonight, February 7, 2013, at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street) for four weeks. Stocke is stepping in for Paul Schoeffler as 'Hertz,' the German developer looking to renovate the Sunset Strip, while Schoeffler is on leave to play Don Quixote in Man of La Mancha at Houston's Theatre Under The Stars from February 26-March 10. Schoeffler returns to ROCK OF AGES on March 11, 2013. (more...)

Kate Rockwell & Teresa Stanley to Join Cast of ROCK OF AGES, 1/21

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical ROCK OF AGES have just announced that Kate Rockwell (Bring It On: The Musical, Legally Blonde), will 'Bring It' to Broadway's Bourbon Room, taking on the leading role of Sherrie - the "small town girl" who "took the midnight train goin' anywhere" - on Monday, January 21, 2013. That same day, Teresa Stanley (The Color Purple, Rock of Ages First National Tour) will take over the role of Justice, owner of the Sunset Strip's Venus Club. (more...)

Joey Calveri Takes Over as 'Stacee Jaxx' in ROCK OF AGES Today

Producers of the five-time Tony Award nominated hit musical Rock of Ages have announced that Joey Calveri, who currently plays the ensemble role of Joey Primo, will step into the spotlight as wild rock idol Stacee Jaxx beginning today, December 17 at Broadway's Helen Hayes Theatre (240 W 44th Street). Andrew Call (American Idiot) will join the company as Joey Primo today as well. Original Broadway Cast member Jeremy Woodard, who originated the role of Joey Primo off & on Broadway and has performed the role of Stacee Jaxx since September 2011, played his final performance on Sunday, December 16. West 44th Street became the hottest block on Broadway in Fall 2012 when celebrity chef Guy Fieri opened his new restaurant Guy's American Kitchen & Bar right next door to Broadway's Best Party, Rock of Ages. A bond between the show's rocking cast and this bona fide rock star of the culinary world was inevitable, and on Tuesday night, Guy Fieri made his one-night-only Broadway debut in a walk-on role at Rock of Ages! Already buddies with the cast, Guy received the royal backstage treatment at the Helen Hayes Theater while the crew prepped him for his rock star stage debut as 'Guy, the Bourbon Room Chef'. Prospect Theater Company, one of America's leading producers of new musical theater, will kick off its 2012-2013 season with a one-night-only concert presentation of The Rockae, a hard rock musical based on Euripides' The Bacchae featuring music and lyrics by Kleban and Fred Ebb, Award-winning writer Peter Mills, and a book by Mills and Cara Reichel (Illyria, Golden Boy of the Blue Ridge, upcoming Death For Five Voices).
