Spiegelworld's EMPIRE NEW YORK Comes to Times Square, Now thru 9/2

Reinventing the traditions of circus, cabaret, variety and burlesque for the 21st century audience, Spiegelworld brings its all-new show, entitled Empire, to the heart of Broadway, pitching its infamous tent at 265 West 45th Street. Preview performances begin tonight May 22, 2012, with an official opening night set for May 31, 2012. The limited engagement will play through September 2, 2012. Spiegelworld’s Gazillionaire and his assistant Penny took a break in the midst of their smash-hit, sensation-causing run of Absinthe at Caesars Palace Las Vegas to come to The Big Apple, looking for the perfect spot in Times Square to pitch their spiegeltent for their all new show, Empire. Andrea Meislin Gallery has announced an extension of Special Effects, Ofri Cnaani’s third solo exhibition at the gallery, through June 9, 2012. The show features a new series of cyanotypes, prints and a media installation, titled Magic on Hold, which explores how trickery is generated.
