Jonathan Groff Set for Donmar Warehouse Production of RED, August 1 - September 9

The Donmar Warehouse production of “Red” By John Logan, featuring Jonathan Groff and Alfred Molina, directed by Michael Grandage, will begin previews on August 1 and open August 12 at Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. Center Theatre Group has announced that “Spring Awakening” and “Glee” actor Jonathan Groff will be featured opposite previously announced Alfred Molina in the Donmar Warehouse production of the 2010 Tony Award-winning Best Play “Red” by John Logan at the Mark Taper Forum, August 1 through September 9, 2012. Jonathan Groff Set to Guest Star on THE GOOD WIFE in February

According to TVLine, Broadway veteran and frequent GLEE guest star Jonathan Groff is set to visit CBS' 'The Good Wife' this winter. Groff will play 'Jimmy, a plaintiff suing a software company after his sister disappears during a peaceful protest in Syria.' The episode is set to air in February. (more...)

Walter Bobbie to Helm Jonathan Groff in THE SUBMISSION at MCC; Opens 9/26

MCC THEATER today announced that Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening, "Glee"), Will Rogers (When the Rain Stops Falling), Eddie Kaye Thomas (American Pie, HBO's "How to Make It in America"), and Rutina Wesley ("True Blood," The Vertical Hour) will star in the world premiere production of The Submission, by Jeff Talbott, directed by Tony Award-Winner Walter Bobbie (School for Lies, Chicago). Performances of this funny and furiously intelligent new play begin at the Lucille Lortel Theatre (121 Christopher Street, NYC) on September 8, 2011 and continue through October 22, 2011. Though Jonathan Groff is likely best known to theatre audiences for his Tony-nominated performance in SPRING AWAKENING, he became known to television audiences last year as Jesse St. James in the smash hit GLEE. Next week - on the 146th anniversary of the death of Abraham Lincoln - he'll appear in movie theaters across the country when 'The Conspirator', centered around Lincoln's assassination, opens nationwide.
