Cheyenne Jackson's PRICE CHECK to Premiere at 2012 Sundance Film Festival

Sundance Institute announced today the films selected to screen in the out-of-competition Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections of the 2012 Sundance Film Festival. Included in this year's line-up is Price Check, featuring Cheyenne Jackson, Parker Posey, and Annie Parisse.The Festival will be held January 19 through 29 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden and Sundance, Utah. The performance featured guest artist Cheyenne Jackson, star of Broadway, 30 Rock, and Glee, in a cool, swinging program that included "Feeling Good," "Luck Be a Lady," and "Sway" at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. On Sunday, July 24th, it's all about the lights and the glamour of...Broadway! NewFest will screen Dori Berinstein's "Carol Channing: Larger than Life," a hilarious and excessively sweet documentary about the stage legend. Also on Sunday, Broadway stars Cheyenne Jackson ("Glee," "30 Rock") and Jason Butler Harner star in Steven Williford's drama "The Green." The Broadway block ends with the world premiere of Elisabeth Sperling & Trish Dalton's "One Night Stand," which follows various participants in last year's 24 hour musical competition. STAGE TUBE: Cheyenne Jackson Performs at Life Ball 2011!

This year's ball resembled "traditional Viennese balls" and featured debutantes and classical music. In addition, the ball will open with a fashion show by Diane Von Furstenberg, Calvin Klein and Kenneth Cole. The Life Ball will be followed by an AIDS conference in Vienna, which will run from July 18 to July 23. FINIAN'S RAINBOW Transfer a No-Go, Show to Close January 17 as Planned

Cast members have confirmed and Michael Riedel in the New York Post is reporting as well that although options to transfer Finian's Rainbow to a smaller theatre (the Neil Simon presumably) in a scaled down production had been discussed, ultimately it was deemed economically unfeasible and the show will still close as originally announced on January 17th. XANADU Opens National Tour in Orange County, 12/15 - 12/27

COSTA MESA, CA—The national tour of the musical adventure XANADU opens at the Orange County Performing Arts Center on December 15 and runs through December 27. This engagement is the only Southern California appearance scheduled on the national tour. XANADU is based on Universal Pictures' cult classic movie of the same title, which starred Olivia Newton-John and Gene Kelly. (more...)
