STAGE TUBE: 2010 BROADWAY BARES Highlights!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Sunday's BROADWAY BARES XX: "STRIP-OPOLY" made history by raising $1,015,985 to benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. This marks the first time in BROADWAY BARES history that the $1 million dollar mark was reached, a goal that had been set this January by BARES creator and executive producer, Tony Award winner Jerry Mitchell. BC/EFA Announces BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS Jan. 31 at Splash

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS and Jerry Mitchell announce BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS, a new event featuring seven of the hottest men currently on and off Broadway. BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS will be held Sunday, January 31 at Splash (50 West 17th Street). There will be performances at 8 PM and 11 PM and a $10 admission will be accepted at the door. (more...)

The first BROADWAY BARES in 1992 featured seven dancers stripping on a bar and raised over $8,000. Since then, the 19 editions of BROADWAY BARES have collectively raised over $6.5 million to benefit BC/EFA. BROADWAY BARES 19.0: "CLICK IT!" was produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, created and executive produced by Tony AwardŽ-winner Jerry Mitchell (Catch Me If You Can, Legally Blonde, Peepshow in Las Vegas), and was conceived and directed by Peter Gregus (Jersey Boys).
