Miss NY, ANNIE Orphans and Ryan Kasprzak Set for Tonight's Benefit for West Side YMCA

The West Side YMCA's Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater will present its 3rd annual benefit cabaret, Little Theater, Big Dreams tonight, May 13th at 7PM. The Off-Broadway hidden gem, located inside the historic West Side Y, will play host to powerful performances from Broadway's brightest up-and-coming stars alongside their own Kids Company, a group of young (6-14 year old) triple-threats-in-training. All proceeds will benefit the on-going youth theatre programs supported by the Y's Strong Kids Campaign. (more...)

Shelter dogs throughout New York City make their Broadway debuts on the way to adoption thanks to SANDY'S RESCUE PALS, a new dog adoption partnership between the current Broadway production of Annie, the Tony Award-winning musical; Pedigree Brand; and Bobbi and the Strays. Today at intermission, ANNIE celebrated the official launch of Sandy's Rescue Pals at the Palace Theatre, with Bill Berloni (Tony Award-winning animal trainer) and cast members Jaidyn Young, Sadie Sink, and Brooklyn Shuck, with a rescue dog from Bobbi and the Strays' shelter. Jane Lynch to Join ANNIE Earlier Than Announced on May 15

Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, who stars in the hit FOXtelevision show 'Glee' as ruthless cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, will soon make her Broadway debut as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in Annie. New ANNIE Cast Recording Featuring Jane Lynch Goes on Sale at Palace Theatre Tonight

Shout! Broadway has announced that the New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is available for purchase at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets), beginning tonight, May 7. The merchandise stand is open to the public one hour prior to performance. Digital release will be on Tuesday, May 28. The recording will be released to national retail outlets on Tuesday, July 2. Jamie Foxx in Talks to Star Opposite Quvenzhane Wallis in ANNIE Film

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Foxx (Django Unchained) is in talks to star opposite Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) in producers Will Smith and Jay-Z's film adaptation of Annie for Sony. Foxx would play 'Benjamin Stacks', the film's 'Daddy Warbucks' character. (more...)
