Ben Jeffrey, Broadway star of The Lion King and Aladdin, will perform a one-night-only concert to benefit Gateway Center for Performing Arts on Friday, June 10th at 6:30 pm. Jeffrey, who is a Guest Artist in GCPA's Summer Master Class Series, will perform family friendly repertoire and be joined onstage by special guests, including performers from the casts of Aladdin KIDS!, GCPA's summer production for Grades K-4th. The performance will be at the Emerson Theatre at Harris Stowe. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children (children age 2 and under who can sit on the lap of an adult may attend the concert for free). Jeffrey has had the privilege of performing on Broadway in Disney's The Lion King, where you can still see him play Pumbaa the Warthog, (a role he has performed over 2000 times!), and Disney's Aladdin, where he has played Babkak, one of Aladdin's comrades in crime. Other favorite roles include Jane Eyre (Rochester), In The Sawtooths (Nellie), Seussical! (Horton), and Beauty And The Beast (Beast). Jeffrey has also had roles on television, in Louie, The Good Wife, & Boardwalk Empire.
Jeffrey will hold two Master Classes: Unarmed Stage Combat (Grades 4th - 8th) and Finding Your Funny: Comedic Songs and Monologues (Grades 9th - 12th). Space is limited, so reserve your spot today!
