The SDSO has announced Nicholas Sharma as the Assistant Conductor/South Dakota Symphony Youth Orchestra Music Director beginning in the 2024-25 season. 

Emmy-nominated, multi-platinum selling music artist Ben Folds will be live at Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls on Friday, October 4, as part of his Paper Airplane Request Tour.  

Installation weekend for the 21st annual SculptureWalk Sioux Falls exhibition will take place this weekend, May 3–4. With over 80 sculptures included, the 2024 season will feature more pieces than any other exhibit thus far!

The Washington Pavilion has announced the establishment of a new, permanent outdoor art installation named CYCLICALITY, created to commemorate its 25th anniversary.

BIG FISH is a Broadway Musical  adapted from Tim Burton’s 2003 film of the same title, and is the story of a man named Edward Bloom who aspired to do “great things” and be the hero of his own life story. He tries to relate that sense of adventure and aspiration in his son and all the people around him by telling tall tales.

Following success with its first adults-only museums experience in January of this year, the Washington Pavilion is excited to offer another opportunity for adults (21+) to experience the Kirby Science Discovery Center, Visual Arts Center and Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium, without the kiddos!
