A play from the writer of The Odd Couple and Barefoot in the Park is coming to Stirling Theatre. Neil Simon’s Rose and Walsh, directed by Carryn McLean, is the story of two ageing lovers who were once literary giants. The event features recognizable favorites from more than twenty Broadway shows, as well as music from Disney. Following their wildly successful Positively Present cabaret at Mary's Attic in Andersonville, Brown Paper Box Co. continues their 2017/2018 season with Neil Simon, Marvin Hamlisch, and Carole Bayer Sager's 1979 classic two-hander (and many-voiced), They're Playing Our Song, running through August 20th. In his directorial debut, Jeff Award nominee Daniel Spagnuolo* helms and choreographs the Jeff-recommended romantic comedy during Brown Paper Box Co.'s fourth summer residency at Rivendell Theatre (5779 N Ridge Ave, Chicago, IL 60660). As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, Broadway darling Sutton Foster and Seth Rudetsky are teaming up on a concert version of They're Playing Our Song to benefit The Actor's Fund on August 30 at the Gerald W. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College in New York City. They are joined onstage by Tyler Maynard, Matt Loehr, Jesse Nager, Amber Efe, Alex Ellis and Kaitlyn Davidson. The concert will be directed and choreographed by Denis Jones and musical directed by Steve Freeman.The first shots of the company in rehearsal have been released and appear below!

Sarah Uriarte Berry, Tony winner Chuck Cooper, award-winning vocalist Scott Coulter, and Broadway favorites Jason Graae and Max von Essen joined Emily Skinner, Jeff McCarthy, Terri Klausner, Noah Racey, Lorin Latarro and Melinda Sullivan at The Town Hall to present the final production of its 2007-2008 Broadway by the Year series, Broadway By The Year 1979 on Monday, June 16th. Broadway By The Year is created, written and hosted by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, now in it's 8th season.
