Eva Longoria is Dorothy and her whole world has gone from black and white to brilliant technicolor. I am in love with the bright flowered back drop Ferragmo used as their step-and-repeat for their celebration of the iconic Vara heel. Everything about it is fresh, young, and whimsical, which are not words I would usually use to describe Ferragamo. The Italian luxury brand has been making a strong push to bring a younger clientele to there classic shoes, and I think they are on the right track. (more...)

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces William Shakespeare's Henry VIII, the first professional Chicago production in 400 years since its debut at Shakespeare's Globe in London. Staged by Artistic Director Barbara Gaines in CST's Courtyard Theater April 30-June 16, 2013, Henry VIII features a celebrated company of artists that includes Gregory Wooddell in the title role and Christina Pumariega as Anne Boleyn. The acting company features an ensemble of veteran CST actors which includes Kate Buddeke, David Darlow, Kevin Gudahl, Scott Jaeck, Ora Jones, David Lively and Mike Nussbaum. Photo Flash: Sneak Peek at The Met's PUNK: CHAOS TO COUTURE, Opening 5/9

The Met's spring 2013 Costume Institute exhibition, PUNK: Chaos to Couture, runs from May 9, 2013 to August 14, 2013. It will examine punk's impact on high fashion from the movement's birth in the early 1970s through its continuing influence today. Featuring approximately one hundred designs for men and women, the exhibition will include original punk garments and recent, directional fashion to illustrate how haute couture and ready-to-wear borrow punk's visual symbols. I know I just featured Zoe Saldana as my Fashion Photo but, come on, have you seen this picture?! She has once again pushed all fashion boundaries to a new place of awesome. I don't know how she does it, or how her stylist does it. They have set their own bar so high I don't know how her co-stars feel standing next to her. I would stress not only about my own outfit but about how my outfit would stack up next to Saldana. I am officially fashion-struck. (more...)

I definitely have Gatsby fever! I cannot wait to see this film if just for the fashion and jewels alone. But I have to say, I was expecting some major fashion at last night's premiere and was a bit disappointed. Very little sparkle and not as much oomph as I would have liked. Unlike some of her co-stars, Isla Fisher, did glam it up and I for one am thrilled! (more...)

Today's Fashion Photo is not a typical one, but I just couldn't resist. We have all been watching as Catherine Duchess of Cambridge gracefully navigates her pregnancy and growing baby bump. Her fashion choices have been flawless and as I said last week, she's really making this whole thing look easy. Contemporary artist Alison Jackson has also taken notice and has taken matters into her own hands so to speak to help us imagine what the Duchess would wear for her own baby shower. (more...)

Zoe Saldana is always one to watch at events and on the red carpet. She never fails to keeps things fresh, new and interesting. I would describe her style aesthetic as awesome, eclectic and fashion forward. Saldana chose a Calvin Klein collection skirt and top for her Star Trek: Into Darkness photocall in Berlin.
