Diane Paulus’ (Director) multiple Tony Award winning 2013 Broadway Revival of Stephen Schwartz (Music and Lyrics) and Roger O. Hirson’s (Book) PIPPIN entertains and entrances Sydney audiences thirsty for theatre with a bold blend of song, dance, and circus. 

Choreographer Doug Shankman makes the dance his own in this energetic production of a long-time favorite.

'Pippin' is a musical written by Stephen Schwartz and Roger O. Hirson and originally directed by Bob Fosse. It tells the story of the young son of Charlemagne desperately looking for a place to belong.

Music Theatre Wichita continues its 2018 Season with one of the first regional productions of the newly revised Pippin, reflecting the changes composer-lyricist Stephen Schwartz and librettist Roger O. Hirson introduced in the 2013 Broadway revival. Directed and choreographed by Emmy-nominated Al Blackstone ("So You Think You Can Dance"), the lavish production features a 32-member cast in an all-new staging. The fourth of five self-produced musicals in MTWichita's 2018 season, the run continues through July 29. Disney's The Little Mermaid will conclude the season August 8-18.

Bay Street Theater has announced their take on AS YOU LIKE IT, by William Shakespeare, directed by Tony Award winner John Doyle, with original music by Stephen Schwartz, will run from August 8 - September 3. It's a show business aphorism that the meaning of the musical PIPPIN, first produced on Broadway in 1972, is anybody's guess. I can go along with that.

Set inside the sensationalized female murderess craze that swept 1920s Chicago, CHICAGO draws its audience into a world of crime and glitz against the vivid backdrop of the jazz age. A first time production for Pittsburgh CLO, CHICAGO is sure to be 'all that jazz' and more!

On Sunday, March 13th at 4pm, Young Artists of America at Strathmore (YAA) presented the youth premiere of the new symphonic version of Children of Eden by Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Pippin and The Prince of Egypt). Schwartz himself worked as a guest mentor with the YAA high school-aged students. The cast, full symphonic orchestra, and chorus will include over 350 youth from all over the DC Metro area including 250 younger artists from North Bethesda Middle School. The performance took place at The Music Center at Strathmore (5301 Tuckerman Ln, North Bethesda, MD).

The Stephen Schwartz coming-of-age musical that helped put Bob Fosse on the map exploded onto Broadway in 1972. It then had a successful televised version in 1981. With the recent 2013 revival, the theatre world and all who see it are rediscovering this powerful show. It now has a showing through May 2nd with the Theatre Department at Agoura High School.

The national tour of Pippin, featuring Sasha Allen and John Rubinstein, who created the role of Pippin in the 1972 original Broadway production, has welcomed Sam Lips to the cast as 'Pippin.' Check out a first look below!

PIPPIN, the Stephen Schwartz (music and lyrics) and Roger O. Hirson (book) magical show is now on stage at The Palace Theatre. It tells a modern version of the mythical tale of Pippin, the oldest son of King Charlemagne, and his search for purpose and identity.

Jennifer Nettles and Carly Hughes join the Broadway company of Chicago in the starring roles of Roxie Hart and Velma Kelly for a limited eight-week engagement -- Monday, February 2 through Sunday, March 29, 2015 at the Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.). On Thursday Evening, October 30th, there was certainly "Magic to Do" backstage at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre. Ben Vereen, the original "Leading Player" in the 1972 Broadway production of PIPPIN, visited with the cast backstage after watching the performance. Ben was reunited with his original "Pippin", actor John Rubinstein ("Charles"), with whom Ben appeared in the original Broadway production helmed by Bob Fosse. Long-time friends, associates and family gathered last night (October 6) to celebrate the 70th birthday of one of the theatre community's most treasured members - award-winning sound designer Abe Jacob.
