TheatreWorks Silicon Valley continues its 51st season with the hit musical Ragtime. This sweeping and stirring musical masterpiece paints a portrait of America at the dawn of the twentieth century, interweaving the lives of three families—an African American family, a Jewish Immigrant family, and a wealthy white family—finding their places and pursuing the American Dream in a rapidly changing world. Featuring a Tony Award-winning book by Pulitzer Prize finalist Terrence McNally (Master Class, Kiss of the Spider Woman, The Rink) and a Tony Award-winning score by Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens (Once on This Island, Anastasia, Seussical The Musical), this musical is based on E. L. Doctorow’s best-selling novel of the same name. Ragtime will be presented June 1-26, 2022 (press opening: June 4) at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts. The Town Hall presented Broadway By The Year: Volume 1: Broadway Musicals of 2000-2004 on Monday, February 24 at 8pm. Created, written, hosted and directed by Scott Siegel for The Town Hall, the evening launched Broadway By The Year©'s 20th landmark season at The Town Hall (123 W. 43rd Street).

The Granite Theatre of Westerly, announces the opening of the musical Jesus Christ Superstar , music by Andrew Lloyd Webber and lyrics by Tim Rice. The show that changed the musical theatre world 45 years ago about a man who changed the world 2000 years ago! The show opens Friday October 20, 2017 and runs Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2pm through November 19, 2017. Producer/ Artistic Director for the theatre is David Jepson.

Pulitzer Prize-winner Lawrence Wright premieres his new play at Berkeley Repertory Theatre. It is a fictional play about the last days of legendary journalist Oriana Fallaci. Elvis Presley?s hits roar to life on the Ogunquit Playhouse stage in the new Broadway musical comedy All Shook Up, starring Sally Struthers as the stick-in-the mud Mayor Matilda who has outlawed fun her small mid-western town. This mad-cap musical comedy based on Shakespeare?s Twelfth Night, playing September 16 through October 11, overflows with rock ?n roll, gospel, romance and mistaken identities. All Shook tells the story of a small town girl with big dreams and the motorcycle-riding roustabout she falls for. The Boiler Room Theatre (BRT), Williamson County?s resident professional theatre company, will present Andrew Lloyd Webber?s rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar, beginning Aug. 21, 2009 at the theater, located in the historic Factory at Franklin, 230 Franklin Rd., Building Six, for a run through Sept. 19, 2009.

The 2008-2009 Reprise Theatre Company season continues with the classic international hit 'Man of La Mancha,' starring Brent Spiner as Cervantes/Quixote.
