Bay Street Theatre held its Second Annual Honors Benefit on Saturday, April 27 at East Hampton Point, hosted by funny-lady and Bay Street Thatre Board Member Joy Behar. This year the honorees were Hampton's Hometown Heroes including David Bray, Ana R. Daniel, Michael Grim and James Osburn. All four of the honorees support Bay Street as well as many other local businesses & non-profits in the Hampton's Community. The event is held Spring each year, not only to recognize outstanding patron involvement, but also to raise funds for its theatrical and educational programs. Photo Flash: Nathan Lane and More Honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards at Guild Hall Gala

Guild Hall, the visual and performing arts center on eastern Long Island, recently honored the recipients of the 28th Academy of the Arts Lifetime Achievement Awards: John Alexander for Visual Arts; Walter Isaacson for Literary Arts; Nathan Lane for Performing Arts and Mickey Straus, who received the Special Award for Leadership and Philanthropy. Marshall Brickman was the Master of Ceremonies with special guest presenters: Ken Auletta, Alec Baldwin, Jack O'Brien and Lorne Michaels. Check out opening night images for the show below! A Funny Thing Happened in the Way to the Forum brings a great cast to the Paper Mill Playhouse stage. Paul Vogt (Pseudolus) made his Broadway debut as Edna Turnblad in Hairspray and he replaced Harvey Fierstein in the Las Vegas production. Films include Garry Marshall's Valentines Day and Princess Diaries 2. Audiences know Paul from 'MADtv.' This is Paul's first Paper Mill Playhouse experience. (more...)
