American Theater Company (ATC) opens musical comedy Xanadu, the final production of its Legacy Season, this Sunday, June 5. Presented as a tribute to ATC's late Artistic Director PJ Paparelli-a not-so-secret fan of this camp classic-Xanadu is directed by Lili-Anne Brown and runs at ATC now through July 17, 2016. The production has music and lyrics by Jeff Lynne and John Farrar and a book by Douglas Carter Beane, based on the 1980 Universal Pictures film of the same title.

Friends in Theater Company and State of Play Productions' THE SECRET GARDEN, a Broadway benefit for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, presented the first of two sold-out performances last night, January 11, at 7:30 p.m. at the Lucille Lortel Theater. The fully staged production was led by Rebecca Luker as Lily, Gabriella Pizzolo as Mary, and Bradley Dean as Archie with Tom Deckman, Ali Ewoldt, Frances Mercanti-Anthony, Bill Nolte, Eli Tokash, Max von Essen, and Cortney Wolfson. Additionally, composer Lucy Simon and original cast member Daisy Egan co-hosted the night. Abingdon Theatre Company presents Brian Richard Mori's HELLMAN v. McCARTHY, starring Dick Cavett, Roberta Maxwell and Marcia Rodd. Jan Buttram, Artistic Director of Abingdon Theatre Company, directs this world-premiere production which runs through April 13 in Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex's June Havoc Theatre (312 West 36th Street). Fall head over heels in love with a rollicking Broadway parody starring Greek goddesses on roller skates. DOMA Theatre Company goes retro with Xanadu, the musical based on the 1980 cult film. The Drama Desk and OBIE Award-winning Mint Theater Company will present Rachel Crothers's comedy, A Little Journey, opening Monday June 6th at the Mint's home in the heart of the theater district, 311 West 43rd Street.

The Kite Runner, directed by David Ira Goldstein, plays in Tucson at the Temple of Music and Art from September 10 through October 3. It continues its run in Phoenix at the Herberger Theater Center from October 8 through October 25.
