One of the biggest hits in theatrical history, CATS will come to Portland’s Keller Auditorium from Tuesday, June 21 through Sunday, June 26 as part of a new North American tour.

Get your first look at the North American tour of CATS. The new production officially opened at RBTL’s Auditorium Theatre in Rochester, NY and will visit more than 50 cities in the 2021/2022 season. 

Celine Dion visited the CATS tour in Toronto and met up with the cast following a performance at Toronto's Princess of Wales Theatre last night! Dion famously covered the show's anthem, Memory, in a televised 1987 performance featuring full cat costume and makeup! Check out video of that performance and photos of her visit below!

As BroadwayWorld sadly reported earlier this week, trailblazing dancer, director, and choreographer Dame Gillian Lynne passed away at the age of 92.

Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking Broadway musical, CATS will made history once again when internet sensation, Grumpy Cat became the first genuine feline to join the cast. Grumpy Cat, the media personality, performer and New York Times best-selling author, made her Broadway debut (for one night only) alongside the cast on stage at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 W 52nd Street) last night, Friday, September 30, 2016.

Composed by Andrew Lloyd Webber and based on T.S. Eliot's 'Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats,' the original Broadway production opened in 1982 at Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre (currently home to Lloyd Webber's newest hit, School of Rock - The Musical), where it ran for 7,485 performances and 18 years. CATS was originally produced on Broadway by Cameron Mackintosh, The Really Useful Company Limited, David Geffen, and The Shubert Organization. The creative team for the new Broadway production of CATS includes John Napier (Scenic & Costume Design), Natasha Katz (Lighting Design), Mick Potter (Sound Design), choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, based on the original choreography by Gillian Lynne, and direction by Trevor Nunn.

British pop star Leona Lewis will play the role of 'Grizabella,' the Glamour Cat, in the first-ever Broadway revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical, Cats, returning to Broadway this summer at the Neil Simon Theatre. Preview performances are set to begin Thursday, July 14, 2016, and an official opening set for Sunday, July 31, 2016. As previously reported, The Shubert Organization and The Nederlander Organization have confirmed that CATS, one of the biggest hits in theatrical history, will return to Broadway this summer at the Neil Simon Theatre (250 West 52nd Street). Preview performances will begin July 14, with an official opening set for August 2, 2016. Beverley Knight is to star in Andrew Lloyd Webber's record-breaking musical Cats to play the role of Grizabella.   Returning to the London Palladium from 23 October 2015, Lloyd Webber's record breaking Cats will run for a ten week season until 2 January 2016.  Tickets are from £20 with top price seats at £59.50 and children's tickets at half price for Monday to Thursday performances.
