Dear Evan Hansen at Connor Palace is a top-ranking musical drama that highlights social anxiety, suicide, family angst, and teenage drug addiction. Based on real-life incidents, it explores the complexities of mental health and societal investigation. With a pop-contemporary musical theatre sound, it is a must-see musical for those interested in boundary-pushing storytelling.

Broadway Training Center of Westchester, one of the region's premier performing arts schools, is on a roll. Late year, the school purchased its longtime location and the building next door in Hastings-on-Hudson, securing a permanent home. Then in early January, it hosted a highly successful and entirely virtual Winter Gala and Alumni Show, exceeding its ambitious fundraising goal of $100,000.

Barbara Obermeier (Jellylorum/US Grizabella) and Stefan Konrad (Chairman of Nestwärme Austria) came up with the idea about doing a charity concert as a kickstart for NESTWÄRME in Austria after they ran into each other on the street. As Mondays are OFF-Days for Musical Actors in Vienna, there might be no better day to gather together some fine voices. Spending their only day off doing a concert for a good cause is something you never can take for granted. Obermeier and Konrad brought together an A-List of Top Acts, a few of them sadly had to cancel their performance due to sickness. Instead of cutting the set-list short, others took over some songs on a very short term. Charity Events are sometimes badly rehearsed and poorly staged. It takes a lot of tact and sensitivity and the right bunch of people when you want to create a night to remember. Konrad narrated through the evening with comedy and class. A first-class Conférencier who knows how to flirt with his audience in a charming way.

Porchlight Music Theatre announces the star of Porchlight's spring production, the Chicago premiere of Disney's Freaky Friday, A New Musical Cory Goodrich as the host of New Faces Sing Broadway NOW, directed by Johanna McKenzie Miller and music directed by Tom Vendafreddo; at The Arts Club of Chicago, 201 E. Ontario Street, Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7:30 p.m. Single tickets to each New Faces are $37 at SPACE and $60 at The Arts Club. To cap off its 28th season, Ateneo Blue Repertory (BlueREP) proudly presents the Pulitzer Prize-winning rock musical Next to Normal. The show plays at the Gonzaga Fine Arts Theatre, Ateneo De Manila University, from 6-22 March 2020, at 8 p.m. on all dates except Sundays, with additional 3 p.m. shows on weekends.

IF/THEN is a musical with score by Tom Kitt and libretto by Brian Yorkey who also collaborated on the multi-award winning NEXT TO NORMAL, which laid the foundation for a major change in the American musical theatre-the development of musical dramas. IF/THEN is now on stage at Lakeland Civic Theatre.

Hartford Stage will open its 2019/2020 season with Quixote Nuevo, an inspired, Tejano music-filled, contemporary reimagining of the Miguel de Cervantes classic Don Quixote, by award-winning playwright Octavio Solis. Performances run  through Sunday, October 13.
