Broadway In Chicago is currently presenting Kinky Boots, the smash-hit musical that brings together four-time Tony Award-winner Harvey Fierstein (Book) and Grammy Award-winning rock icon Cyndi Lauper (Tony Award-winner for Best Score for Kinky Boots), returns to Chicago for a limited two-week engagement at the Cadillac Palace Theatre (151 West Randolph) through July 26, 2015. Last night, EMPIRE stars Grace Gealey and Kaitlin Doubleday attended the performance at Cadillac Palace Theatre for Grace's birthday. Check out photos below!

Broadway in Bryan Park continued its 2015 program on Thursday - and BroadwayWorld was on hand to capture the first day. It's Saturday, and that means it's time for BroadwayWorld's 'Saturday Intermission Pics' roundup!

On Thursday, July 9, 2015, BROADWAY SERVES kicked off its summer-long partnership with the Children's Aid Society. Child volunteers from the theater community teamed up with CAS' kindergarten-3rd grade campers to fill and decorate toiletry bags. These toiletries will be donated to formerly homeless residents currently living in an Urban Pathways facility. The 2015 Lilly Awards were held on June 1, 2015 and celebrated and honored women of distinction in American theater. The Lilly Awards are given out by The Lilly Award Foundation. This years event was hosted by 2015 Tony Award nominee LISA KRON (Fun Home) and it was held at Playwrights Horizons. 

STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held just yesterday in Shubert Alley, hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award - nominated plays and musicals! BROADWAY GYPSY TEA DANCE recently gathered at the rooftop bar Top of the Strand at the Strand Hotel (33 West 37th Street) to celebrate Chita Rivera's 2015 Tony Award nomination, enlisting dancers from most of Broadway's shows. Those represented included The King & I, Aladdin, Kinky Boots, Something Rotten, Wicked, American in Paris, The Lion King and gypsies who danced with Rivera in her last Broadway show A Dancer's Life. Miss P, the Beagle the who was named Best in Show earlier this week at the 2015 Westminster Best in Show, continues her NYC tour, making her Broadway debut last night with a walk-on role in Broadway's Kinky Boots. BroadwayWorld was there for her big night and you can check out photos below!

Tickets for the 2015 KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY are on sale for the public tomorrow, starting at 11:00am E.S.T. KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY, which will take place Friday, January 9th, 2015 to Thursday, January 15th, 2015, is an annual event when kids ages 6 to 18 can see participating Broadway shows for free when accompanied by a full-paying adult. A KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY ticket includes pre-theatre activities, restaurant discounts, parking discounts, educational programs, and more. JUDITH LIGHT a two-time Tony Award winner, will serve as the National Ambassador for the 19th KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY. This year KIDS' NIGHT ON BROADWAY salutes Point Foundation, the nation's largest scholarship-granting organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) students of merit, an organization where Light remains a longtime board member. This year's program launched earlier today and BroadwayWorld takes you inside the event with Light, her friend Tony Danza and more!

KINKY BOOTS is heading to South Korea! This will be the first international production of the Tony-winning musical. Kyle Taylor Parker (Kinky Boots, In the Heights national tour), one of the Angels in the original Broadway company, will strut his stuff as Lola - something he has done to great acclaim on several occasions in New York as the Lola understudy. Steven Booth (Avenue Q, Glory Days, Dogfight) will star as shoe factory owner Charlie Price. Parker and Booth will be joined by Lindsay Nicole Chambers (Hairspray, Legally Blonde, Lysistrata Jones) as Lauren, Joe Coots (TV's 'Inside Amy Schumer,' Full Monty national tour) as Don, Craig Waletzko (Guys & Dolls, Young Frankenstein) as George and Grace Stockdale in her touring debut as Nicola.
