An Early History of Fire Photos - Off-Broadway

What if there was a musical - simultaneously serious and hilarious, that explores the wild ride of life's later years, addressing the good, the bad and the ugly of aging? Rag Lady Productions is thrilled to announce the World Premiere of THE GEEZE AND ME, a new MUSICAL featuring a troupe of baby boomers who sing, dance, and hobble their way through issues of retirement, leakage, and more. At THE TENTH Avenue Arts Center downtown San Diego, March 31st through April 29th. 

A Red Orchid Theatre continues 2016- 2017 Season with the Chicago premiere of The Nether, written by Jennifer Haley,directed by Ensemble Member Karen Kessler. The Nether features Ensemble Members Guy Van Swearingen and Doug Vickers with Maya Hlava, Ashley Neal and Steve Schine. The production runs January 26 - March 12, 2017, at A Red Orchid Theatre, 1531 N. Wells. Press Opening is January 30, 2017 at 7 p.m. 

Broadway fans had plenty of reasons to celebrate this year, with dozens of shows having opened since January, hundreds of actors having made their debuts, and many more having returned to the stage for critically acclaimed performances. Not all news was good though, as we also suffered a loss of an incredible amount of talent. Below, BroadwayWorld sends a fond farewell to those who passed away in 2014.

Jonny Orsini returns to Broadway this season as 'Malcolm' in the Lincoln Center Theatre production of MACBETH, which opens at the Vivian Beaumont Theatre on November 21. The New Group presents the first production in its 2012-2013 season, the world premiere of The Good Mother, a new play by Francine Volpe. Directed by Scott Elliott, this production features Mark Blum, Darren Goldstein, Gretchen Mol, Alfredo Narciso and Eric Nelsen. Previews began October 31 in advance of an Official Opening Night tomorrow, November 15 at 7:00pm. The limited Off-Broadway engagement is slated through December 22 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre / 410 West 42nd Street / Acorn Theatre).
