On Friday night, The New York Pops continued its 31st season with two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster in her solo debut at Carnegie Hall. Among other musical standards, Foster reprised her unforgettable performances of 'Anything Goes' and 'I Get a Kick Out of You' from her Tony Award-winning turn as Reno Sweeney in the Cole Porterclassic. She also offered her own take on 'Down with Love,' made famous by Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand. Foster was joined by special guest artists Joshua Henry and Megan McGinnis, who sang the showstopper 'Let It Sing' from Violet, and the touching 'Neverland' from Peter Pan. Natalie Venetia Belcon (Avenue Q, The Glorious Ones), Jonathan Rayson (Legally Blonde, Adrift in Macao), Matt Walton ("One Life to Live", Burn After Reading) and Morgan Weed (Rent, Next to Normal, Saved) lead the cast of the 1969 musical comedy which also features Karen Hyland (Ghost The Musical), Nathan Keen (West Side Story), Antuan Raimone (In The Heights), and Morgan Rose (Shrek The Musical). The Old Globe presents the San Diego Premiere of Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire's Good People, the award-winning play about class divisions in modern-day Boston. Directed by Paul Mullins, Good People runs now through Oct. 28, 2012 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Roundabout Theatre Company announced the full cast this July for the new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood.
