That Championship Season Photos - Broadway

It's been over a week since the world lost entertainment legend Robin Williams, who passed away last Monday. The beloved actor and comedian was 63 years old. Below, BroadwayWorld remembers Robin.

Today, we're featuring Jason Patric circa 1986. In 2005, Patric appeared on Broadway as 'Brick' in a revival of Tennessee Williams' Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, opposite starred Ashley Judd, Ned Beatty and Margo Martindale. He next appeared on Broadway opposite Brian Cox, Chris Noth, Kiefer Sutherland and Jim Gaffigan in a revival of his father Jason Miller's play, That Championship Season, which began previews on February 9, 2011 and closed on May 29, 2011.

Roundabout Theatre Company announced the full cast this July for the new Broadway production of Rupert Holmes' Tony Award-winning musical comedy The Mystery of Edwin Drood. The show is set to open on November 13, 2012 and will star Stephanie J. Block as Edwin Drood. Meet the whole cast in the video and bios below!

The Public Theater will begin performances on Wednesday, March 14 for the return of GATZ, the critically lauded theatrical adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby. Created and performed by Elevator Repair Service, this award-winning theatrical event, directed by John Collins and featuring Scott Shepherd as Nick, will run through Sunday, May 6 for 28 performances only in the Newman Theater. Off-Broadway's The New Group presents Burning, written by Thomas Bradshaw and directed by Scott Elliott, kicking off the company's 2011-12 Season. The production officially opens on Monday, November 14 at 7:00 PM. Burning plays a limited engagement through December 17 at The New Group @ Theatre Row (The Acorn Theatre, 410 West 42nd Street).

The Casting Society of America has announced winners of the 27th Annual Artios Awards®. The bi-coastal award ceremonies were held on Monday, September 26 in Los Angeles at The Beverly Hilton Hotel, and at the District 36 in New York. BroadwayWorld was on hand and brings you photo coverage below!

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will continue its popular Shakespeare Salon Series this May. Following the success of last year's events, The Shakespeare Salon returns for two evenings this spring, with discussions featuring 2011 Shakespeare in the Park Directors Daniel Sullivan and David Esbjornson and moderated by Shakespeare Initiative Director Barry Edelstein. The Shakespeare Salons will be held on Wednesday, May 18 and Wednesday, May 25 at 6:30 p.m. at BONDST Restaurant (6 Bond Street). Tickets are $25 and include a complimentary glass of wine. Tickets are on sale now to Public Theater Members and will go on sale to the general public on Thursday, April 28.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) is currently rehearsing the Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring MEASURE FOR MEASURE, directed by David Esbjornson, and ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL, directed by Daniel Sullivan, running in repertory June 6 - July 30 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. The 25th Annual EASTER BONNET COMPETITION raised $3,706,085, the result of six weeks of intensive fundraising for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS by 52 Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies. The grand total was announced at this year's EASTER BONNET COMPETITION, which ended in two shows featuring original presentations, songs and elaborate, custom-made bonnets from 17 of the participating shows.
