Winner of both the Tony and Olivier Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for author Bruce Norris, Clybourne Park is a razor-sharp satire about the politics of race and real estate. The play returns to London following sell out runs at The Royal Court and in the West End.

The UK regional premiere production of Bruce Norris' acclaimed play CLYBOURNE PARK opens at Mercury Theatre Colchester's home base ahead of a national tour, starring Ben Deery (Karl / Steve), Dan Gaisford(Kenneth), Rebecca Manley (Bev / Kathy), Rebecca Oldfield (Betsey / Lindsey), Gloria Onitiri (Francine / Lena), Wole Sawyerr (Albert / Kevin), William Troughton (Jim / Tom) and Mark Womack (Dan / Russ). The production opens on 15 April as part of the Made in Colchester Season and runs until 23 April. Gina McKee (Di & Viv & Rose, King Lear, Ivanov, Our Friends In The North, Notting Hill) will play Queen Elizabeth, alongside the previously announced Martin Freeman (Clybourne Park, The Hobbit, Sherlock, Fargo) as Richard III in Jamie Lloyd's first production of his second season at Trafalgar Transformed, Richard III, running from 1 July to 27 September, with press night on 8 July.

The Guthrie Theater today announced a return engagement for An Iliad, the single-actor storytelling adaptation of Homer's Greek classic about the siege of Troy. The play features Stephen Yoakam (more than 75 Guthrie productions including a lauded turn as Bertolt Brecht in 2012's Tales from Hollywood and as Creon in 2011's The Burial at Thebes) as The Poet and is directed by Benjamin McGovern (The Edge of Our Bodies, Circle Mirror Transformation). An Iliad is written by Lisa Peterson (director of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof at the Guthrie in 2012, as well as this summer's acclaimed production of Clybourne Park) and Denis O'Hare from a translation of Homer by Robert Fagles. Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? began rehearsals on September 4, 2012, in Chicago at the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, where this production originally began in December 2010. Previews will begin on September 27, 2012, at the Booth Theatre (222 West 45th Street) on Broadway with an official opening on Saturday, October 13, 2012, exactly 50 years to the day of the play's original Broadway opening on Saturday, October 13, 1962. The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Interim Executive Director Joey Parnes) will begin previews on Friday, March 25 for the world premiere of URGE FOR GOING, written by Mona Mansour and directed by Hal Brooks. The third show in the 2010-2011 Public LAB season, URGE FOR GOING will run Friday, March 25 through Sunday, April 17 at The Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street), with an official press opening on Sunday, April 10.
