Production photos of the new cast of AMERICAN IDIOT have been released! Davey Havok (lead vocalist of the American rock band AFI) has joined for a limited two week engagement as 'St. Jimmy.' In addition, Justin Guarini (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown) will play the role of 'Will,' and current and original Broadway cast members Van Hughes and Libby Winters took over the roles of 'Johnny' and 'The Extraordinary Girl,' respectively on March 1, 2011. Photo Flash: Two Boots Celebrates AMERICAN IDIOT with 'The St. Jimmy' Slice

Two Boots Pizza and MJS LIVE, Inc. are pleased to announce this month's A SLICE OF BROADWAY, a celebration of Broadway's finest at NY's Pizza Pioneers Two Boots Pizza devoted especially to Broadway's hit musical AMERICAN IDIOT. The 'tastiest pizza in Manhattan' (yelp.com) will honor the amazing cast of AMERICAN IDIOT with a specialty pizza offered this month at its Hell's Kitchen location. Cast members from AMERICAN IDIOT, now playing at The ST. JAMES THEATRE, will appear at Two Boots in their Theater District Neighborhood location to sample the new pizza. The new slice is called The St. Jimmy and features capicola, crawfish, roasted garlic, and a swirl of jalapeno pesto. (more...)

Last night, July 25, the cast of American Idiot took the stage at Joe's Pub to benefit Broadway Impact and their continued efforts to fight for marriage equality. The monthly concert features cast members from various Broadway shows, highlighting the show's performers and the theatre community's commitment to equality. The first sold out show featured the cast of Next to Normal and on August 23rd the cast of Memphis will take the stage for the final installment. 100% of the proceeds go directly to Broadway Impact. Last week on April 20, 2010, Actor's Equity's David Westphal hosted the famed Gypsy Robe Ceremony for company members of AMERICAN IDIOT at the St. James Theatre. A long-standing opening night tradition on the Great White Way, the fabled Gypsy Robe is bestowed upon a veteran Broadway chorus member for each opening production. In what has now become a theatrical ritual, originating on Broadway 60 years ago, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES chorus member Dale Hensley turned over the robe to AMERICAN IDIOT cast member Andrew Call.
