With the current theatre world on hiatus, I have created a Spotlight Series on Broadway World which features interviews with some of the many talented artists who make our Los Angeles theatre community so exciting and vibrant thanks to their ongoing contribution to keeping the Arts alive in the City of the Angels. And just like all of us, I wondered how they are dealing with the abrupt end of productions in which they were involved. This Spotlight focuses on Holly Baker-Kreiswirth and Bill Wolski, the dynamic duo lovebirds who call Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro their a?oehome away from home.a??

This Spotlight focuses on Robert Yacko, one of the busiest triple-threat performers in Los Angeles!

After many millennia, and in just 90 minutes, God (award-winning comedian Zoe Lyons as seen on 'Mock The Week' and 'Celebrity Masterchef') assisted by her devoted angels Michael (Matt Tedford, aka 'Margaret Thatcher Queen of Soho') and Gabriel (Tom Bowen, Johnny Castle in 'Dirty Dancing the Musical') will answer some of the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since creation.

Follow the adventures of two brothers and the night-time disappearance of a chocolate cake in this scrumptious new musical adaptation by the creators of We're Going on a Bear Hunt and How to Hide a Lion from Michael Rosen's beloved poem Chocolate Cake, which has just been published as a picture book.

Chance Theater is set to present its 14th annual production of the irreverent, raunchy and pitch-black dark holiday satire... The Eight: Reindeer Monologues. Written by Jeff Goode, directed by Resident Artist James McHale. The Eight: Reindeer Monologues will perform December 8 through December 23 on the Fyda-Mar Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Gloucester Stage Company continues its 38th season of professional theater on Cape Ann with Israel Horovitz's latest comedy, Out of the Mouths of Babes from August 11 through September 2 at 267 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA. 

Tony Award winner Alice Ripley (Next to Normal), Erin Davie (Sunday in the Park with George, Side Show, Grey Gardens) and Drama Desk honoree Danny Gardner (Dames at Sea) will join Tony Award nominees Brandon Uranowitz (Falsettos, An American in Paris) and Christiane Noll (Ragtime, Chaplin, Jekyll & Hyde)  two-time Nightlife Award winner Scott Coulter  and more took part in for Town Hall's Broadway by the Year Series last night.

Majoring in Theatre is a bold decision. Committing four formative years and thousands of dollars ought to pay off. College costs have increased exponentially, and (STEM) science, technology, engineering and mathematics majors seem to be the only sought after grads these days. This is why, according to The American Academy of Arts and Sciences, only 8% of today's college students are majoring in humanities.

Academy Award, Tony Award and Emmy Award winner Christopher Plummer takes the stage for 16 performances only in a Center Theatre Group special event, "A Word or Two," which opens at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre tomorrow, January 22, 2014. Written and arranged by Plummer and directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, "A Word or Two" is presented in association with the Stratford Festival of Canada and continues through February 9, 2014. TheatreWorks, the nationally acclaimed theatre of Silicon Valley, presents the world premiere of CLEMENTINE IN THE LOWER 9, a blues-fueled new play by Dan Dietz with music by Justin Ellington, who will also be the Musical Director for this production.

The Boomerang Theatre Company (Tim Errickson, Artistic Director; Sue Abbott, Managing Director) kicked off their 2011 season with an outdoor production of Shakespeare's Much Ado about Nothing, directed by Daniel Talbott and starring Sara Thigpen and Nate Miller. THE BILBAO EFFECT, a world-premiere play that puts contemporary architecture on trial, written by Oren Safdie (whose previous play about architecture, PRIVATE JOKES, PUBLIC PLACES, was a hit Off-Broadway in 2003) will be presented Off-Broadway with an official press opening night on May 16, 2010 at Center for Architecture (536 LaGuardia Place) in Manhattan. THE BILBAO EFFECT will run Wednesday through Saturday at 8PM through June 5.
