I thought about many happy childhood musical theater memories last night while I attended the Dutch Treat Club's Annual Gold Medal Tribute Dinner and Show at the Harvard Club in honor of the legendary 'Fiddler of the Roof' lyricist Sheldon Harnick, who received the Club's Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in the Arts.

KUSC 91.5 FM, one of the largest and most listened-to public classical music stations in the country, will honor Academy® and Tony® Award-winning actor Joel Grey on Saturday evening, September 15, 2012 with a 90-minute tribute broadcast. The program is the final installment of this year's monthly musical theater series, "The Shows of Shows" presented by KUSC and the Festival of New American Musicals.

For one night only, Tony Award winner Tammy Grimes and Joe Sirola to star in Love from Shakespeare to Coward Monday, April 27 at 7PM National Arts Club Tammy Grimes and Joe Sirola will make a command performance as they celebrate almost 50 years since they shared the stage together in the Broadway musical The Unsinkable Molly Brown.

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced its 2008-09 season: Bury the Dead, written by Irwin Shaw and directed by Joe Calarco, and Being Audrey, music and lyrics by Ellen Weiss, book by James Hindman, additional book and lyrics by Cheryl Stern, developed with Jack Cummings III and Adam R. Perlman, and directed by Jack Cummings III.
