The Sum of Us Photos - Off-Broadway

How can we understand and contextualize new information challenging what we take for granted as scientific fact? Disinherit the Wind, a play of ideas by Matt Chait that asks us to view the wonders of science through a different lens, opens March 3 at The Complex on Hollywood's Theater Row.

In conjunction with Dallas Pride, Theatre Three will present The Sum of Us by David Stevens as the opening of its 2016-2017 Theatre Too season. The playexplores the volatile relationship between an aging widower and his gay son. After meeting in a local pub, Jeff and a young gardener, Greg, hit it off and begin to date. When he meets Jeff's stubborn, opinionated Dad, however, Greg begins to back off. Meanwhile, Dad also has a new flame: a woman he met through a dating service. School of Visual Arts (SVA) announced the winners of its 2013 Dusty Film & Animation Festival and Awards, now in its 24th year, at an awards ceremony held May 7, 2013 at New York City's SVA Theatre (333 W. 23rd Street). Highlighting the work of more than 150 filmmakers and animators graduating from the BFA Film, Video and Animation Department, the annual awards were bestowed at the invite-only event. The Australian Premiere of David Stevens' play The Sum of Us opened in Melbourne this week. It will be followed by an Australian Tour throughout the rest of the year.
