As we say goodbye to 2017, we remember all of those we have lost in this past year. From actors to directors and musicians, these people have shared their gifts with us and they will not be forgotten. Join BroadwayWorld in remembering some of these people below.

In 1994, Bette Midler returned to New York after nearly 20 years in Los Angeles, and started the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization devoted to bringing abandoned and neglected parks, gardens, and open spaces in all five boroughs back to life. NYRP includes the beautiful New Leaf Cafe in Fort Tryon Park as part of its success, and is committed to helping restore parks and gardens devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The organization just held its 13th Annual Spring Picnic and you can check out full coverage below!

Tony award-winning actor/performer Hal Linden returns to the New York stage for six performances with his 'Hal Linden Live in Concert' cabaret style, big-band classics inspired live show at Manhattan's Cafe Carlyle - 35 East 76th Street, NY, NY 10075 - now though May 24th.
