The Actors Fund's annual gala last night, April 29, 2013 at the New York Marriott Marquis honored Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, the pay television company HBO and entrepreneur/film producer and Fund trustee Steve Kalafer. The Stephen Sondheim Theatre will soon be home to the upcoming Broadway revival of Horton Foote's beloved classic, The Trip to Bountiful, starring Cicely Tyson, Cuba Gooding Jr., Vanessa Williams, Condola Rashad and Tom Wopat. Directed by Michael Wilson, The Trip to Bountiful will play a 14-week limited engagement, beginning previews on Saturday, March 30th at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre (124 W 43rd St). Photo Flash: Bucks County Playhouse Celebrates Re-Opening, Launches A GRAND NIGHT FOR SINGING

Last night, July 2, was the Bucks County Playhouse re-opening and ribbon cutting ceremony, as well as the first performance of Rodgers & Hammerstein's A Grand Night for Singing. The first production of the Bucks County Playhouse (BCP) 2012 summer season, A Grand Night for Singing will run through Sunday, July 29th. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place 73 years and a day after The Playhouse first opened in 1939. Special guests included Mayor Laurence Keller (New Hope), Chris Hart (son of Moss Hart), Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor Cawley, Congressman Michael Fitzpatrick (U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania's 8th congressional district), and Will Hammerstein (Grandson of Oscar Hammerstein II).
